Meditative Shortneck Baglama ( Saz ) intuitive improvisation in D 432 Hz tuning - John Kremer

It is also often called saz, although saz is actually a designation for stringinstruments in general in these countries. This is the shortneck version of the baglama. There are many different sizes and types of baglamas. This instrument actually has it's origin in Central Asia, but is nowadays mostly used in the Middle East. The tuning that I choose for this piece of music is diffent from how the baglama is normally tuned. I tuned the baglama in an open D, beause the music that I play on it is more Far East / India oriented. Also the tuning is in 432 Hertz tuning, which is a little bit lower than the Western tuning that we use nowadays. 432 Hertz tuning is more relaxing and in line with the cosmos. Enjoy the sounds of the Middle and Fast East, which have also microtones in their music (1/4 tones). Microtones are very common in the music from the Middle and Far East and they sound sometimes a little bit strange for the Western trained ear. Hope you will have a nice baglama meditation.
