Nick Jones was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Marine Special Operations Command serving as a Marine Raider when his life changed forever one day in March, 2020, in the hills of Northern Iraq. On a mission to clear local caves of ISIS insurgents, two of his teammates were killed. Nick saved the life of another man, and was trying to retrieve the bodies of his two comrades when he was shot in the right leg. For his bravery, Nick was awarded the Navy Cross, second only to the Medal of Honor award in prestige. Little did he know that overcoming his injury would be as great a challenge as any he had faced as a soldier in combat.
