Monoblos vs Diablos (MH4U)

The people needed answers. Time to Lock Horns. I actually thought this fight was really interesting; it highlights how different Monoblos actually is from Diablos, both in terms of its moveset, how the same moves are expressed, and also in terms of its behavior; particularly their enrage rates and how those change with their hp range. Since Monoblos has no online hunts, I took both of their stats from their G-rank Caravan Quests, in which their stats are identical, except Diablos has 2 notches higher attack. I thought about leveling them out, but this is actually a trend that continues for Diablos compared to other monsters in the same rank in hub quests as well, so I decided to just leave it. (Health was reduced, though with the caravan attack scaling this took a little longer than I honestly thought it would) Getting the fight to happen in the Great Desert took a bit of figuring out, but I think it was worth it vs some other non-descript arena or the Sanctuary. However this ended, it does seem to me that it the tables could turn on a rematch, and I vaguely get the impression that the loser might actually do better in some matchups. I feel it struggled more due to my positioning, but I've not quite figured out what to do about that, unfortunately, but I might do a rematch with less hp. Like, comment and subscribe!
