Don't know how I missed this place! In any case, this is a great way to get out and escape the city and enjoy nature. It has plenty to see and do! There are a few different trails that vary in length to hike. The trail is well maintained and had views of Florida vegetation and wildlife around every turn. The rapids are cool to see, there are several different views of the river, plenty of picnic tables, a playground, canoe and kayak launch areas, a swimming pool, and a campground. You can also go biking and there is even a really cool suspension bridge. In my opinion, this is definitely a must-do for your "Things to do in Tampa" list. We paid $6USD for two people (per car) and it was well worth it. *As of August 2021, there are a lot of the amenities that are closed due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, but you can still go out there and enjoy the trails, kayak/canoe, camp and enjoy nature.
