Bike Packing Colockum Quilomene April 2013 Day 2

After camping the first night in the bottom of the Tekison Canyon at the intersection with the Brushy Road, we climbed out of the canyon on the Brushy (brutally steep) and spent quite a bit of the day up high on the ridges making our way to the Brushy Creek Jeep Trail. Turned out to be unseasonally hot with very little breeze. Being the first real heat of the year, 84* felt like 94*. Jeep trail into the Brushy Creek has been closed (to motor vehicles) for several years now. Still able to follow it though. Camera's do not do it or the first climb's steepness justice. The wide angle lens' "flatten things out". Believe me, they are allot steeper than they look in the vid!!
