Multi-Parlour Restrictor

The Multi-Parlour Restrictor is a device that fits to the rump rail beside the cow in the parlour preventing the sideways movement of a cow/heifer. Its primary function is when one side of the parlour isn’t full the device can be safely attached from the pit in seconds beside the last cow. This eliminates the problem of having to temporarily tie a rope beside her to stop her moving. This device can also be used in the case of a full round to replace the chain or rope that is often used to restrict the movement of the end cow. Once pushed against the animal it automatically locks in position when they put pressure against it. It’s particularly effective in restricting movement in first calving heifers during milking. Its fully galvanised, self-adjusting to fit all parlours, lightweight and comes in two models a “Standard” and an “Elite” model. The elite model once attached can be left on the rail, but its innovative design allows it to simply swing down out of the way allowing the next round of cows pass through. The Multi-Parlour Restrictor increases safety and saves time during milking as it eliminates the need to leave the pit to tie ropes or chains.
