As a recording artist my creative process is to listen to the Earth and from a place of stillness, spontaneously sing in response to the land - in honouring and reverence. The video footage organically follows the live recording of the song as it unfolds in the moment. It is not like a usual music video with set shots, repeated takes and singing to a prerecorded song. It is an on the fly, live location recording with ancient Earth. I share my experience as an artist with you in appreciation of the beauty and wonder of our planet. I step into the centre of the stone circle, a shaft of magnetics whomp between the two upright monoliths. I feel a portal from deep earth to deep sky and the timelines stretch out like rubber bands. The whole circle of standing stones is precariously sliding toward the edge of the ridge, and the land pulses with an urgency to be sung. The song rushes in, full of vitality and surging purpose. All I can do is get out the way and surrender as a vigorous energy pulses the space. I am up on my feet stomping, body moved to move and embody the vibration. It is hot and I am breathing heat, pumping the soles of my feet into the ground. The rocks drip wet with creation and the centre starts spinning like a ringed elevator. I am uplifted, taken by the rhythm of the place. In sound I surrender into the energies of procreation. And it is a cosmological vision. A blazing asteroid penetrating the ionosphere pollinating ovum Earth. A cataclysm kick starting genesis into radical propagation on the relatively young planet. It's force unearthing rich mineral hardware and fertilising the landmass with interstellar microbial life. As I sing I feel a regenerative energy flood the landscape. Rejuvenating and revitalising. Amplified by the conductivity of the fossilised stones. The planet feels ripe. And I am singing it. Honouring where Heaven mated Earth. Here in the ancient South.
