The WORST dinner party | Act V Scene 1 | The Taming of the Shrew (2024) | Shakespeare's Globe

'Nay, good sweet Kate, be merry!' After their wedding, Petruchio and Katharina head back home to enjoy their first meal together. Petruchio has other plans, however, and sets out to make life hell for his servants and in the process reveals to Katharina just some of what lies beneath his sickly sweet exterior. Shakespeare’s cutting comedy, directed by Jude Christian, returns to the Globe Theatre for a limited time this September, in a 'Riotously entertaining’ (London Theatre) new production that is like nothing you’ve ever seen before. The Taming of the Shrew plays in the Globe Theatre from September 23 - 26 October 2024 as part of our Summer 2024 season: https://bit.ly/TheTamingOfTheShrew2024 _____________________ Become a groundling, tickets from £5: https://bit.ly/GlobeWhatsOn Subscribe for scenes, interviews and more: https://bit.ly/ShakespearesGlobeYouTube Watch Shakespeare On Demand with Globe Player: https://bit.ly/GlobePlayerTV ABOUT SHAKESPEARE'S GLOBE Shakespeare’s Globe is a world-renowned performing arts venue, cultural attraction and education centre located on the bank of the River Thames in London, UK, and is home to the Globe Theatre and Sam Wanamaker Playhouse.
