Typically, the record has been well "loved" and plays through numerous scratches and a decent, but repaired edge bite! Bon Marche was a Haberdashery / Drapery department store in Bourke Street Melbourne founded by John Payne in circa 1885. The red labelled 1000 series records sold at Bon Marche stores were manufactured for them and exported to Australia by The Plaza Music Company of New York. Recorded and processed from an original vintage 78 record by myself with the generous support and cooperation of "Mechsounds".
