Moteh Parrott, singer/songwriter/guitarist, from Live Music Now Scotland performs a programme of music specially selected with young audiences in mind in celebration of St Andrew, patron saint of Scotland, and his feast day of 30 November. Sharing the theme of kindness and connecting with others through music, the concert will be introduced by Angus Robertson, MSP, the Scottish Government’s Cabinet Secretary for the Constitution, External Affairs and Culture. The video concert is kindly supported by the Scottish Government and is presented in partnership with Live Music Now Scotland and Live Music Now France. ABOUT THE ARTISTS Born in Cameroon and given the local name ‘Mnkongmoteh’, Moteh Parrott is a Scottish alternative-indie artist whose music complements reflective, uplifting lyrics with open-tuned electric guitar and cello, and has been likened to “a Highland wilderness with all the sweeping colour and spirit which that encompasses” (leedsmusicscene.net) Shortlisted for BBC Radio Scotland’s Singer-Songwriter of the Year Award 2019, Moteh is currently working on his debut album at Chem19 studios with Paul Savage, producer of Mogwai, Arab Strap and King Creosote, among other Scottish artists.
