Time to get this bad JDM powered 80s tuner monster on the road! Now that you've seen the intro video where you meet car owner Jeremy Moore it's time to get this process moving forward. The 1987 Toyota Supra Turbo we are starting with was an excellent find, having been cared for by other enthusiasts over the past several years it was a clean example of 80s goodness and ready for a quality rebuild. Originally powered by the much maligned 7M-GTE turbo charged inline 6 cylinder the car came built with all the right bones just needing a bit more capable heart under the hood. As we discussed in the intro this car came with the extremely capable R154 transmission and the factory Limited Slip Differential so we knew we could support a decent power increase under the hood. In this phase of the car we walk you through the wheels/tires/brakes as well as turbo preparation and getting the turbo ready for installation. As you'll see when building a Japanese Hotrod you run into issues just like their American counterparts for the last 60+ years.
