Let's compare some new modern day cassette players with my Sony Walkman and see if it's worth spending the extra coin for a vintage cassette player! Note: Audio samples were recorded separately in Audacity in order to have maximum control over levels and audio recording. The music was exported in AAC 320kbps at 44.1kHz. The players are there for presentation sake but the sound matches the player. Personally, the best option is the Jensen because it plays great, it's affordable and it's stereo. The Byron Statics is mono all around and it doesn't sound too good. It can be used at best as an audiobook player or kids toy.
