How to fill in grain in wood cabinets? How to paint oak cabinets for a smooth finish. I finish many kitchens and I often come across old oak wood kitchen cabinets. These cabinets are very sturdy and well built except they look awful and often hard to match with new counter tops. In this video I show you one way to remove the grain by filling in the wood grain with wood grain filler. In this video I am using Aquacoat.
