Even though we do come across the term shadow work in witchcraft, in itself it is a psychological term, mainly developed by Swiss Psychologist Carl Gustav Jung. He coined the term of ¨shadow¨as a part of your subconscious personality that holds suppressed emotions, desires, copying mechanisms, masks, and traits. In turn, the shadow has an influence over your actions, reactions, and thought patterns. To know your shadow is to know your mind and be able to take back control as well as to discover untapped potential, passions, meaning, and direction for your life and break out of unhealthy behavior patterns.
