Celestials, sages, Brahma and Vishnu watch the cosmic dance and bow down to the feet of the Lord who dances for the prosperity of the three worlds. With Damaru and Fire in his hands, the Lord who is the ocean of compassion, danced along with Goddess Sivagami in the abode of Chidambaram. The Pallavi of this Keerthanam has been set incorporating the Yathi patterns (rhythmic patterns) musically as well as visually. The Mridanga Yathi - to denote the playing of Mridangam for His cosmic dance; Damaru Yathi - to denote the sound of Damaru accompanying His dance; Gopuchcha Yathi - to denote the Trishoola, held in his hand, which tapers at the bottom; Shrothovaaha Yathi - to denote the flow of Ganges from his matted hair.
