Atlas HO-10 "The Yardmaster" Layout Test Run

So, after modeling a few 4' x 8' layouts in SCARM modeling software, and I putting a couple of them onto the foam, I didn't like the ideas that I had come up with. After a little more research, I found this layout, "The Yardmaster," an old Atlas Snap-Track layout from the 50's. Luckily, I had enough old brass Atlas track and a mix of others to complete the layout as per the blueprint. I did, however, pick up enough newer code 100 snap track, that's nickel silver, to eventually be able to replace most of the brass track. This way, maintenance is easier and less laborious. I eventually plan on switching to DCC, but for now, I'm using an old Tyco transformer. Which works with my Lionel Steamer and controller. I locomotive you see running is an old DC Kato Pennsylvania RR F7 that I picked up from the train show. I wish I knew more about that loco. Hope you enjoy my newbie layout
