Sunset Park is a neighborhood in the southwestern part of the borough of Brooklyn in New York City, bounded by Park Slope and Green-Wood Cemetery to the north, Borough Park to the east, Bay Ridge to the south, and Upper New York Bay to the west. The neighborhood is named after a 24.5-acre (9.9 ha) public park of the same name, located between 41st and 44th Streets and Fifth and Seventh Avenues. The region north of 36th Street is also known as Greenwood Heights or South Slope See it to believe. Experience it and you may just want to return. It is summer time in Sunset Park. Members of the Chinese community are out in their numbers seated on the benches, doing group dancing of many different forms on several of the paved open areas, dancing with swords on the groomed lawns.... This park boasts of a very attractively built playground with bars, slides, a sand pit and interactive stations. There are also full-sized swings for kids of all ages. You may see community members grouped together to clean the park. You can find several people walking their dogs, playing sports on the court or on the grassy area. There is an Olympic sized pool that is of course a summer favorite. The park is one of the sites for city parks free summer sports camp for kids. Playground Great playground, with challenging age appropriate apparatus. Padded ground. Instruments and interactive toys for that added touch. Come alone, come with your friends, family, pets, dogs, cats, your main chick, side chick. You're going to love it! One of the best picnic spots in Brooklyn
