In this video, I replace a Trane XL13 condenser fan motor with a universal motor. Specifically, I replace the OEM GE Genteq 5KCP39MFAC15AS 3-wire motor with a Dayton 4M226 universal 4-wire motor. I'll take you through the procedure step-by-step. You'll see how easy it is. Tools and materials you'll need (in addition to the motor): Socket set to remove condenser screws (all one size) Claw hammer Crescent wrench Wire cutters/strippers Spade connectors (Yellow) and crimper UV-resistant zip ties Short piece of 3/4" PVC pipe (recommended) Digital multimeter (needed to diagnose, not to replace)
