Grisedale Pike Facts: Height: Grisedale Pike stands at 791 meters (2,595 feet), making it one of the prominent peaks in the North Western Fells of the Lake District. Location: It’s situated near the town of Keswick, offering stunning views of Bassenthwaite Lake, Derwentwater, and the surrounding fells. Terrain: The trails are a mix of rocky paths, grassy slopes, and forested areas, providing a varied and exciting ride, ideal for those new to mountain biking in the high fells. Summit Views: On a clear day, you can see as far as the Isle of Man, the Scottish borders, and the Pennines from the summit. Starting Point: We began our ride at the Whinlatter Trail Centre, the only true mountain forest in England, offering a perfect gateway to Grisedale Pike with its well-maintained trails and facilities.
