Hope you guys enjoyed today’s video! We soaked Largo a female tortoise who was a little lethargic recently and not doing so well! She recently has bounced back completely and is doing amazing! Hydration when it comes to keeping tortoises is super important. Hydrating your adults is just as important as hydrating your babies. For the babies as I show in this video , I soak for about 30-40 mins daily in direct sunlight . They are constantly being monitored , so that I can change the water and make sure no ones flipped . You can soak daily ( like I do ) or three times a week ( this would be the minimum / recommended) . ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT THESE TORTOISES CANNOT SWIM, so don’t DROWN them! Soaking is a key component to proper growth . Soaking must be done for tortoises being kept both inside and outside . Soaking allows you to monitor your tortoise and ensure proper hydration.
