This is quite a special video for me. All the conversations and stories embedded in this role play can be traced back to my mother, Patricia. My mother was a creative, vivacious, elegant, and compassionate woman. Among her many talents was sewing. I've never known anyone who loved to create beautiful things out of fabric as much as she did. She made clothes for me and my brother from my earliest memory, and only 18 months before she died, she fulfilled her dream of making my wedding dress from a pattern of her own design. In fact, I got to know the manager at Jo-Ann Fabrics so well that she eventually hired me while I was in high school. I had a lot of fun pulling details from my memory to make this video.
