The most remote antecedents of Artificial Intelligence (AI) are found in works published in the 1940s that did not have a major impact. 1950 is considered a milestone, when Alan Turing publishes the article “Computing machinery and intelligence” in Mind magazine. Other authors consider the year 1956 as key when, within the framework of the Dartmouth Conference, John McCarty, Marvin Misky and Claude Shannon formalized the concept. In the first half of the 20th century, basic concepts and applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) were founded, but in the contemporary world their applications are growing rapidly to be applied in many areas of the everyday life with additional positive impacts on society. The Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) is characterized by the fusion of the digital transformation and growing application of new technologies such as AI, machine learning, augmented/ virtual reality, cloud computing, robotics, 3D printing, Internet of Things, and advanced wireless technologies and many more. Applications of artificial intelligence are used in the contemporary world to improve learning and scientific knowledge around the world and the trends for the future are very important as indicated by prospective studies. Technological enterprises and research institutions are investing budgets with the interest to discover AI solutions for educational needs at different levels for the wellness of the future generations. IA is a multidimensional subject that could not be analyzed by isolated disciplines. To have a complete understanding of AI, it is very important to adopt an interaction between two or more disciplines. In more than 50 years of AI's existence, many attempts have been made to have a complete understanding of the matter. The webinar will discuss the trends and challenges of AI approaches, viewpoints from various disciplines, theoretical points of view and paradigms. Academic quality is a main principle for the University around the world. And among its purposes is social responsibility and interest in the analysis and research of the most relevant issues of our society. In contemporary society, AI acquires increasing importance in its application to a series of activities. Recognized professionals of diverse countries will be the speakers of the webinar.
