This is a supper easy to make Wash Cloth. You can use it for the shower or for the kitchen. We recommend you use a cotton-based yarn for softness. Tie it up and put a soap on the middle to convey the idea that is used for washing. This is a super simple yet very useful gift for everyone. It is a knitted Wash Cloth made with your favorite yarn ( you may wan to use something soft like cotton or acrylic yarn would do) . The idea is to knit the Cloth itself with a little crochet ear at the end. Then 'crunching' it together into a puff and putting a bar of soap inside (preferably wrapped, they just need to get the idea that it's for washing) and tied up with a bow that has been interwoven in the cloth. Our most popular gift idea and an original from Joanne. FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS: Size 8 needles Cotton yarn. Cast on 5 stitches. Knit 2 rows. Next row: Knit 2 stitches, knit next stitch from the front and from the back, knit last 2 stitches=6 Next Row: Knit. Increase Rows: Knit 3 stitches, yarn over, knit to end of row. Do this at the beginning of each row. Knit until you have the sides as long as you want it. Ex: Size 8 needles=55 stitches. ------INSTRUCTIONS-------------------- Wash Cloth Decrease Rows: Knit 2, knit 2 together, yarn over, knit 2 together, knit to end of row. Do this at the beginning of each row, until you have 8 stitches left. Next Row: Knit 2, knit 2 together, knit to end of row=7 Next Row: Knit 2, knit 2 together, knit to end of row=6 Next Row: Knit 2, knit 2 together, knit to end of row=5 Knit next row. Cast off. At this point, you may want to make a loop with a crochet hook. Weave ends with yarn needle.
