After listening to Brassneck's "Repeat After Me", i started a search for similiar artist on the Zoo Logic Label and two name popped out: Mote and Wio. Mote's debut 7" "Stars On The Wall" was my first choice: no videos, no mp3s and a low price was the perfect combination to an unknown band. Mote was a band from Belgium and focused primarly on the lo-fi/slowcore/indie rock sound typical of the time. Their first outing is special: it resembles a more post-rock oriented sound with two acoustic song bookending both sides; the EP isn't terribly long, but it's a real pleasure to discover.
