5v power supply | How to make 5v DC Power Supply using LM 7805 | ngtech

In this video, I have designed a very simple 5v power supply from AC power (230V/120V AC) using an LM7805 voltage regulator. After watching this video, you can easily make the 5V dc power supply at home. This 5v power supply can be used in different electronic circuits, and can also be used as the mobile charger. In this project, I have not used Heat Sink with LM7805 but I will suggest you use a heat sink with 7805 IC. The whole process of making this 5v power supply is shown in video so you can easily design this 5v regulator. The components which we are going to use are: 1. Step Down Transformer [230/120V - 9V] 2. Diode 1N4007 3 470uF Capacitor 4. LM7805 regulator 5. Connector 6. Zero PCB Working Principle of this 5v DC source: First, we are using a step-down transformer [Secondary rating 9V and 1 amp] to step down 230V/ 120V AC supply to 9 Volt AC. Then we use bridge rectifier to rectify the 9V AC to 9 V DC. After the rectifier, we have used Capacitor 470uF to filter the ripple from the circuit and fed it to the input of LM7805 voltage regulator.
