IT'S NOT THE CYMBAL PAD’S FAULT. Your Alesis strike hi-hat isn’t the problem. Your Roland VH11 isn’t the problem. You tighten the hi-hat pad to the stand's rod. So the Hi-hat pad isn’t actually moving. It’s the hi-hat stand's rod that’s actually spinning. The solution is very simple. Grab the top of the rod, and twist it to the right to tighten the rod. If that doesn’t work, you might need to take the stand apart, some stands have a upon thread on the bottom of the rod, slide a nut and tighten that. Voila!
