A few weeks ago, I was stumbling upon YouTube videos of the 316 route, but there were not many of them start to end, so I decided to do this route since there are a lack of visuals in this direction. Anyways, The 316 is an underrated route operated by Metroline West using Enviro 200 Darts & Enviro 200 MMC's from Willesden Junction [WJ] Garage. The route was recently extended to Brent Cross West last year from Cricklewood [W] Bus Garage - (where the route was previously operated from), due to the opening of Brent Cross West Station in December 2023. So the route now runs via: Brent Cross West, Cricklewood Bus Garage, Cricklewood Broadway, Kilburn, Brondesbury, Kilburn Park, Queen's Park, Kensal Green, Ladbroke Grove, North Kensington, Notting Hill, Holland Park, Shepherd's Bush & White City. I would like to thank the driver for letting me film at the front and for being a great driver overall. The journey was relatively smooth and the sunlight made it even better. However, there was a temporary 4 way traffic system along the A404 Harrow Road, B450 Kensal Green Junction which delayed us by 20 minutes. The route is set to get SD Volvo BZL's, then the YX19 MMC's will move onto the 223 & H17. What I find annoying is the fact that the residents in North Kensington object the 316 having deckers. Like this makes no sense at all. It literally follows Routes 7 & 295 up until Shepherd's Bush. The route is more than capable to have DD's as a partial allocation. Well, they shouldn't complain if the route gets overcrowded which it kind of did around that area. So because of this, DD's are banned on the 316, except for when it's carnival season - where the route runs as Y316 from Brent Cross West to the Harrow Road Junction.
