Queen Elizabeth parkrun is a 2-loop [very hilly] course around the Queen Elizabeth Country Park near Horndean in Hampshire, UK. I ran Queen Elizabeth parkrun on 19 October 2024, and as I was taking it easy due to taking part in the Great South Run the following day, this video shows a slower runner's POV. The weather was rainy but still uncharacteristically warm for October and there were a total of 130 finishers. My partner, Brian came in position 1 with an official time of 19:47. This was Queen Elizabeth parkrun event #535, and it was busier than normal. We arrived early and parked in the Queen Elizabeth Country Park car park which is not free but for 2 hours' parking it's a reasonable cost and close to the parkrun start. There is a cafe in the visitors' centre next to the car park but we didn't venture in on this occasion. Queen Elizabeth parkrun is a beautiful parkrun venue with lots of hills and if you're in the area, it’s worth giving it a go just for the scenery, if nothing else. We went to get our 'Q' for the parkrun Alphabeteer challenge. Please note that it does get very muddy with lots of puddles so it's advisable to wear trail shoes in wet conditions (many people did not and slipped!).
