Might and Magic 6 Advanced Start Up Guide

In this video, I show my Might and Magic 6 start up route that puts the party into the midgame before fighting a single monster. This is a fairly extensive route that completes a sizable portion of the game before the game even begins and makes the party able to cheese their way through most of the early game dungeons. This route is concerned about the timing of everything because the goal is to end the route in April, which is relevant in part 2 of the starting guide. Several things are optional because the rewards are lackluster or would require too much save scumming, and those optional objectives are left to your discretion (Example: the chalice in Bootleg Bay.) If you were to try to complete quests where you would be required to fight through monsters but just skip them, that defeats the purpose of this guide, but once again, it's your discretion. There are a few inconsistencies between my guide below and the video due to recording blunders, but the exact time, money spent, and items found will vary so much that these small blunders are not noticeable in the grand scheme of things. Below is a rough outline of the steps: Letter #1 Horse shoes 1 and 2 Pick 9 apples -Travel to ironfist Horseshoes 3 and 4 Letter to Roland Save scum Wind Master ironfist obelisk Mire of the Damned Mire Obelisk Mire chest near darkmoor Mire horseshoes 5 and 6 -Dragonsand Dragonsand Obelisk Chests and shrine of the gods Gatemaster -Hermit’s isle Hermit Obelisk and chests -Free Haven Horse shoes 7,8,9, and 10 Save scum fly and beacon (town portal is optional but recommended) Horseshoes to water expert Horseshoes to air expert Cavalier promotion Free Haven obelisk -bootleg bay Set beacon at fountain of magic and portal to mist Pick up wizard promotion quest and mist obelisk Beacon back to bootleg bay Might shrine Bootleg obelisk (chests optional) -rest in inn if necessary and port back to mist to turn the wizard promotion in and port to black shire -Blackshire Horseshoes 11 and 12 Deck of fate Kilburn chest Chests In the desert 1,2 and 3 Obelisk North east chest Pick up pedestal quest -paradise valley Chest on the mountain Obelisk Chest near the town Portal to silver cove -Silver Cove Horseshoes 13 and 14 obelisk If Wednesday, sail to eel infested waters -eel infested waters North chest South chest Obelisk Portal to whitecap -whitecap Horse shoes 15 and 16 Obelisk Pick up end winter quest and priest promotion quest West to krieg spire -kreigspire End winter chest Obelisk Pedestal Travel west to sweet water (southern chests optional) -sweet water Pedestal Chest Obelisk Port to new sporgial then travel to iron fist -Ironfist turn in the kilburn’s shield get pilgrimage from the seer pick up armor and bow skills port to free haven (optional) port to free haven -Free Haven Repair the temple Pick up gate master and save scum for wind master if necessary Port to white cap -white cap Turn in end winter and priest promotion Port to mist for pilgrimage then port to free haven and travel east to bootleg bay for the pedestal then port back to free haven and travel south for mire’s pedestal then travel west for dragonsand’s pedestal and the obelisk rock then port to silver cove -Silver cove Pick up the druid quest and the stables quest (if at any point the druid quest is available to complete, do so immediately) Silver cove-newsporigal-iron fist (grab pilgrimage)-Free haven-mire-White cap-kreigspire (XP well if possible) -black shire (turn in pedestal quest)-silver cove Turn in stables quest and pilgrimage Identify items with a scholar (one in new sporgial) and sell items with a factor and duper (one of each in free haven) Level ups Pilgrimage for April if available Result: mostly high level gear, average skills in the 40/50, level 22-ish, over 200K gold, early April
