Simple UHF radio to mobile phone Crosslink using Zello

Quick vid of a Crosslink I've setup for UHF radio to Zello app on mobile phone here in Australia. (The Zello Channel shown in the video is Password protected & users are required to be "authorised" by the system administrator to be able to transmit on it from their mobile data device). This type of Crosslink is very simple to setup, & is very effective! I can be almost anywhere in Australia & use my mobile phone to transmit over UHF two way radio & vice versa! Some types of two way radios (such as the TYT MD-380) have VOX built into their menu system so you don't need an external VOX controller like I have for this particular Icom IC-41 Pro as shown in the video. Obviously radios such as the TYT MD-380 are for licenced Amateur Radio use only. It's espescially handy for volunteer emergency service organisations as it allows it's members to monitor (& record) all two way radio transmissions from their mobile device or PC. Members can also use the screen PTT on their mobile device, Bluetooth device or the space key on their PC to transmit voice back over the two way radio network from anywhere in Australia either via mobile data or WiFi (using Broadband Internet). Channels can be secured & locked down so only certain people can access them. You can also set it not to allow transmissions & use it purely as a "radio scanner" should you choose to do so. Search YouTube for other vids on the Zello Walkie Talkie app! Also search eBay for Zello accessories so you dont have to touch your mobile phone to use it. Zello is an extremely powerful communications tool! You can download Zello FREE (its also ad-free) for IOS, Android & Windows PC. Also, Zello uses bugger-all data & can sometimes get the message through when your mobile phone calls can't (fringe reception areas, overloaded voice call Cell system etc). Don't forget, Zello must have some sort of Internet connection to work! Even a weak connection may still work! Please note, under ACMA Class Licencing you cannot Crosslink UHF Citizens Band frequencies to data & vice versa (you cannot use a mobile data device to remotely transmit your voice over PUBLIC frequencies without special permission from the ACMA). You can however transmit via mobile data device (within Australia) over a privately licenced radio frequency).
