The greatest escape, golfing in the middle of NOWHERE: Welcome Back! Today we navigate around Borrego Springs, more specifically, Rams Hill Golf Club (on and off the course). If you think you’ve golfed in the middle of nowhere, I think you need to reconsider. As I hacked it around the ultimate golf desert escape, I found myself in a true oasis. Have you heard of the term ghost hole? Well, me neither until I discovered the history of this course design. Originally a Ted Robinson Sr. design of 27 holes, but in 2007 Tom Fazio redesigned the course of 18 holes, leaving 9 holes abandoned which are now considered ‘ghost holes’ and can be spotted from 17 and 18.
