Kerala Style Fish Molly Ingredients 1. Kingfish 750gm 2. lime juice 2tbsp 3. Enough salt 4. Turmeric 1/2tsp 5. Pepper powder 1/2tsp 6. Coconut oil 7. Mustard 8. Fenugreek seeds 1/2tsp 9. Cardamom 3-4 10. Cloves 3-4 11. A piece of cinnamon 12. Cashew nut 2 Tbsp 13. Sliced ginger 1tbsp 14. Garlic 1tbsp 15. Sliced shallots 100 gms 16. Green chili 3-5 17. Curry leaves 18. Crushed pepper 1/2 tsp 19. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp 20. One round sliced onion 21. 2nt extract coconut milk 3 cups 22. Gamboge 1 23. lime juice 1 Tbsp 24. Cashew nut paste 2-3 tablespoons 25. 1st extract coconut milk 2 cups 26. One sliced tomato METHOD 750gm kingfish Marinate With 2tbsp lime juice Enough salt 1/2tsp turmeric And 1/2tsp pepper powder Keep in the fridge for 30 minutes Heat some coconut oil in a pan and shallow fry the marinated fish and keep aside. Heat some coconut oil in the same pan, Splutter mustard and 1/2tsp fenugreek seeds. Then add 3-4 cardamom 3-4 cloves A small piece of cinnamon Then saute it for 1 minute Once it did add 2 Tbsp cashew nut saute until it turns golden brown color. Add 1tbsp sliced ginger and 1tbsp garlic then saute well. Once it did, Add 100 gms sliced shallots And 3-5 green chili Add some curry leaves and 1/2 tsp crushed pepper Then saute well Add enough salt Once it has done Add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder One round sliced onion Just saute it (till the onion layer is separated) Now it is done next, add 2nt extract coconut milk 3 cups and 1 gambooge then Mix well and once it boils add fried fish 750 gm Then cover and cook. (If needed add some water) Wait until the gravy become thick Now gravy becomes thicker we can off the flame. (If you like to add lime juice instead of gambooge, you can add 1 Tbsp lime juice In this stage) Add 2-3 tablespoons of cashew nut paste, 2 cups 1st extracted coconut milk and mix well Check the salt add if needed Finally, add 1 tbsp coconut oil, one sliced tomato, and some curry leaves. cover and keeps for some time then we can serve with appam idiyappam etc
