Jason Kidd Suns 8pts 6rebs 16asts vs Nets (2000)

November 22 2000 No audio Jason Kidd with an 8 point, 6 rebounds, and 16 assists game in a matchup versus Stephon Marbury, who Phoenix would trade him for in the following offseason. J-Kidd would lead the New Jersey Nets to back to back NBA Finals appearances following the trade. The Kidd era of New Jersey basketball is the best time period in New Jersey Net history. I'm not counting Dr. J's ABA run with the team nor the lone Rick Barry season, and both those seasons happened as the New York Nets, not NJ. Kidd's phoenix stint never got off the ground running after his trade from Dallas to Arizona, with his supposed to be co-star Penny Hardaway being riddled with injuries. Kidd would drag this Phoenix team to a 51 win season in the West, with his supporting cast being a 22 year old Shawn Marion, in his second season in the NBA, and 34 year old Cliff Robinson. Penny only played 4 games. Scott Skiles: good or bad NBA coach? Had some limited success with Phoenix, Chicago, and Milwaukee. From what I can tell is he was good at turning around what were losing franchises. Some players had problems with his coaching habits, however, and finished his coaching career (up to this point) with a 478-480 record. His 478 wins put him in the category of coaches like Dwayne Casey (477-505) and Terry Stotts (517-486). On a completely separate note that has nothing to do with this video or Scott Skiles: the fact that Mike D'Antoni and Mike Fratello have near identical coaching records astounds me. D'Antoni is currently at 672 wins and 527 losses, while Fratello has 667 wins and 548 losses. I don't think you can base coaches solely off their win-loss records, look no further than Nate McMillan, who beats both Mike's with 731 wins and 638 losses. And Doc Rivers, with 1,043 wins and 735 losses but gets slandered daily.
