How to Start Your Automotive YouTube Channel With The Right Gear! • Cars Simplified

How do you start an automotive YouTube channel? Steve talks about what you need to get a small automotive YouTube channel started. You can adapt this information to however you intend to run your automotive channel. For instance, if you are going to be filming more car shows and motorsports events, you may prefer a shotgun microphone over a lav mic. In this video, you will get a sense of how Cars Simplified videos are filmed, and you may be able to adapt some of the hardware, software, and planning techniques to start your channel and have it take off! Editing with a default program can be done and done well, but if you intend to use a better editing program down the road, it will have a learning curve either way. If you've gotten really good with the inferior software, it will be even harder to make the switch with that learning curve to get over. A cell phone can also take great video footage, especially modern ones. Steve still uses an old phone for some footage, but having a full camera with lenses that can be changed really helps get quality footage that is either too difficult, too fake, or not quite what you're looking for on a smartphone camera.
