Robert Van Winkle was arrested Wednesday in connection with a residential burglary which occurred sometime during December 2014 and February 2015, according to Lantana police. He was released Wednesday night after posting bail. More at WPTV http://www.wptv.com/news/region-c-pal... Police say the burglary occurred in the 100 block of N. Atlantic Dr. in Lantana. During the incident, numerous items of furniture, a pool heater, bicycles and other items were removed from the residence which is currently in the process of foreclosure. Investigators say they determined that Van Winkle played a role in the burglary and theft. Van Winkle is currently renovating the residence adjacent to the property where the items were stolen. Van Winkle is best known by his stage name "Vanilla Ice." He was a popular rapper in the early 90s, scoring several hits including, "Ice Ice Baby."
