MegaMetalldetHicA : INTO THE LUNGS OF HELL / FIGHT FIRE WITH FIRE / SET THE WORLD AFIRE This is just some editing mess-around. I originally did this mix many many years ago back in my "cassette" days (the 80s), a compilation showcasing both Metallica and Megadeth in a sort of "showdown", by alternating between Metallica songs and Megadeth songs. Naturally, when it came to songs that were linked (no break or space in between) and difficult to separate, potential problems were posed. But fortunately, these two songs worked beautifully, where one ended, the next could begin, without resorting to fade effects (unavailable to me back in the day of twin-deck tape dubbing). Given these songs were on the same subject matter, made it all the more a perfect pairing. The original concept was a very sloppy & choppy effort. But since getting a computer in the early aughts, and learning to use editing software that could deliver more precision editing (custom fades and dub mixing), I gave it another shot and tried to replicate it. Since this was a mix of Metallica & Megadeth, I mashed up their names and got "MegaMetalldetHicA". Maybe it's stupid, maybe it's clever, I dunno. I was 15 when I made that up, and at the time it stuck with my friends (they seemed to like it), so, it is what it is. The nifty logo combining the two logo styles I did not put together, until, again, I had the benefit of a computer. At any rate, enjoy. NOTE : I uploaded this previously with just the two latter songs, but THIS mix includes INTO THE LUNGS OF HELL to open.
