INDESEM.21 ( DATASCAPE ) - ten minutes with an architect In this interview series the INDESEM team travels through all of the Netherlands to ask the most relevant architecture firms about our topic 'DATASCAPE'. In this interview, Paul de Ruiter talks about the influence of Big Data on building sustainably at his Amsterdam based architecture firm Paul de Ruiter Architects. He talks about his personal experience as an architect and his views on our topic. What is INDESEM? For one full week, students from all over the world will come together to engage in conversation with tutors, architects and theorists about the current and future position of the architect within the emerging data-supported society. In 2021, INDESEM takes place from the 29th of May until the 3rd of June. The programme of the INDESEM seminar week consists of lectures, excursions and workshops, all organized around a specific contemporary theme, this year we will be exploring the influence of data within the built environment. This year's edition of the seminar aims to raise awareness about this theme and its consequences for the architectural-practice, in which both faculty and international students embark on an accompanying specifically themed design project.
