Built in 1962 by the local malayali community in Chennai on the land given by the last maharaja of Travancore, this place happens to be a spot of ultimate bliss and peace in the city. Lord Padmanabha is present in a sleeping posture which needs to be seen through those three doors, where his right hand is hovering over a shiva linga while his left hand holds a lotus over his nose. Lord Brahma is depicted to be seating on a lotus which stems from Padmanabha's Navel. All other deities appear to stand and pray around the lord. The temple offers perfect optical aesthetics giving a divinely beautiful full body sight of Padmanabha in addition to near perfect ambience making it a perfect place to meditate and get in sync with the Vaicunta land. Given the limited presence of the devotees, this place is almost a no rush place except on special days.
