Several years (and a lockdown) in the making, I made my way down to Cornwall to take in some of the stunning routes and scenery of the area. Shot across a long weekend in the summer, the series is split into a number of parts. Part 1 covers the initial journey from London to Penzance by GWR's sleeper train, the Night Riviera. It was something I'd wanted to do for a long time and - having done night trains across Europe and Canada - realised the only one I'd done in the UK up to that point just wasn't very good, unfortunately. Join me on what is without doubt the most civilised way to get to Cornwall, courtesy of a Class 57 loco and Mark 3 sleeper coaches.
