I Built a Zen Garden - But It Cost More Than I Thought!

In this video, I transform an overgrown area where I used to store my rugged 4x4 into a peaceful Zen garden for my wife. The space, measuring 4.8m x 3.8m, was neglected and surrounded by weeds, but I’ve completely transformed it with oak sleepers, decorative stone, and some creative DIY work. My 15-year-old nephew joined me during his school holidays to help with the construction, making this a fun family project. Using my mini digger and dumper, we cleared the area, but not without a few challenges! I ran into trouble with my nail gun while building the slatted screens, and my wife wasn’t too happy with the original hoggin finish. I had to switch to a more expensive decorative stone to get the look just right. This Zen garden will now provide a space to relax and entertain, screening off the adjacent builder’s yard.
