Follow Sahmy on insty:   / hypermoodart   Bogotá has some of the most amazing street art in South America and Sahmy, a Fieldey TV watcher, invited us to come and stay with him and his family to experience the real Colombia and paint some walls. This mural is special as we painted it as a gift for a community organisation "Arca de Ismael" in one of the poorer districts of Bogota. The Fundación helps out single mothers by offering low or no-cost childcare and offering workshops and support for parents. We wanted to transform the building into a lively jungle scene, incorporating some of the native birds of Colombia and the orchid - the national flower. Even though the surface of the wall was the most challenging I've ever had to paint, I'm super stoked with how it turned out and the ladies from the Fundacion and the community loved it!
