Homemade Egg McMuffin | Sausage McMuffin with Egg This is our copycat version of the world famous Sausage McMuffin with Egg. It’s a simple preparation that anyone can make with a few ingredients and little time. Recipe: (makes 2) 2 each- whole eggs 2 each- English muffins 2 each- 4 oz breakfast sausage patties 4 each- slices American cheese 1 TBSP- butter 1/4 cup water Method: Slice English muffins and toast in oven or toaster. Brown sausage on cooktop until cooked completely. Melt butter in a sauté pan. Over medium heat. Using a ring mold, place in sauté pan and crack an egg into each mold. Add water around the outside of the pan and cover. Cook for 4-5 minutes, remove the eggs. Build your sandwich with English muffin bottom, cheese, sausage, egg, cheese and top of the muffin. Place in a warm oven to melt cheese if desired.
