Gotta get this uploaded before I analyze it too much! Made this #beat in #FLStudio - using the #AkaiFire for lead. Having a lot of fun with the Fire because because it's NOT touch sensitive (I'm not used to that uniformity and it's freeing, and mixing it up is good). I'm using it in Note mode here set to play a particular scale. That's the other big reason I like this thing - those sales and just kinda drumming on it but finding some good notes and getting into a groove. I can drone away for a long time on the same loop. The Fire was sent to me from FL Studio (gift). They didn't ask me to make anything with it in return PS. Timing on the fire: In this video, there's an LFO on that lead subtly cutting it off, or side-chaining. That helps the lead duck in and out a bit, turning the output audio into something more in-time with the beat (even though you can still hear imperfections, they're more subtle using this trick). Totally recommend trying that to really get you flowing in case you want some help with timing and you're playing lots of notes.
