Today’s video is looking at the new 2019 ProForm SMART Pro 2000. This newly updated treadmill from ProForm now earns 4.5 stars and has made its way onto our list of BEST TREADMILLS for 2019. With a lengthy warranty and a new and improved display, this treadmill is an affordable way to bring home a high tech treadmill. The SMART Pro 2000 has a 3.5 chp motor. This is plenty of motor strength to sustain regular long runs and multiple users throughout the day. It has a 12 mph max speed with a wide incline range of -3% to 15%. Most home treadmills in this price range offer less of an incline range, typically 0-12%. The console has quick select controls, giving you a complete range of speed and incline (whole integers) to choose from. You can also use the up/down arrows to change speed and incline in smaller increments (1/10). The SMART Pro 2000 offers a folding deck, which is great for saving a bit of space in your home gym. It also makes moving the treadmill a bit easier as well. The folding deck is supported by a hydraulic arm that carries most of the weight of the deck. It locks into place when folded. The deck can be released and self-lowered to the ground without the risk of damaging floors or hurting anyone. The deck of the Pro 2000 is cushioned using ProForm’s proprietary ProShox™ cushioning. This offers a bit more cushioning than if you were to run on concrete or asphalt. Features and accessories on the SMART Pro 2000 include a newly updated 7” HD touchscreen display. This is a huge improvement when compared to the old LCD screen that came on the Pro 2000 in the past. It’s easier to navigate and understand and it provides a more engaging experience with the treadmill. The Pro 2000 comes with 50 pre-loaded treadmill workouts, so it doesn’t require a subscription service. But, your purchase of this treadmill also includes a 12-month membership to iFit. iFit provides hundreds more workouts available for on and off the treadmill. The on-board workouts and iFit automatically adjust your treadmills speed and/or incline so you can follow the trainer in your workout without having to mess with speed and incline controls. Heart rate monitoring on the Pro 2000 consists of EKG pulse grip handrail monitors. The Pro 2000 is compatible with a Bluetooth chest strap HR monitor, but the chest strap is not included with your purchase. The console has built-in fans that add a significant amount of comfort to your workout. The speakers are Bluetooth capable — able to pair with your mobile device and project the audio from the treadmill’s console. The console also has two large water bottle holders and an optional tablet holder. The ProForm SMART Pro 2000 is compatible with the iFit fitness platform by ICON Fitness. Your purchase of the treadmill includes a 12-month membership to iFit. If you choose to continue your subscription, the cost is $15/month for one user profile and $33/month for up to five user profiles. iFit has a large library of on-demand workout videos led by excellent personal trainers. We’re really impressed with this service. You also get a calendar tool for scheduling workouts and access to their Google Maps tool which allows you to create your own routes, anywhere in the world. As you continue on the route, your treadmill automatically adjusts the incline to mimic real-world training scenarios. Our Bottom Line review of the ProForm SMART Pro 2000 is this: the new and improved SMART Pro 2019 is a great buy. This is an affordable home treadmill (under $1500) and still offers many of the high-tech elements we see in more expensive models. With a 3.5 CHP motor, this treadmill can sustain regular long-distance running.
