I sold my Sennheiser G2 wireless lav kit years ago for a pair of RODElink Filmmaker kits. A year later I added a Sony UWP- D11 for its superior range, robustness. and workflow advantages over the RODE. Last year I tested Sennheiser's AVX and loved it, but I was set. Until... Sennheiser shipped me the new g4 series wireless lav, plug on transmitter, SKE 600 shotgun and a pair of field headphones. Welcome to part 1, where we learned that the G4 with just one attena gives the benchmark UWP-D11 a run for its money -- at the distance it cut out, I simply can't imagine any scenario for which I'd film that far away.
