Se trata de una especie que nace a través de un mejoramiento genético holandés, a partir de la flor amancay que crece en el sur de nuestro país. Para este cumpleaños tan especial, el evento de floricultura más grande de Sudamérica tiene como insignia esta flor nativa, elegida en conjunto con la Cooperativa Argentina de Floricultores.
