Burning urination means it is the lower urinary tract and not the upper urinary tract. Upper urinary tract consists of the kidney, pelvis and the ureter. Burning urination is usually found in the lower urinary tract, in the bladder, urethra and the penile tip. It might be because of urinary tract infection and infection which is not being treated or it could be because of sexually transmitted diseases. Another cause is a small stone in the urethra, or in the bladder or it could be tuberculosis. We have to rule out the cause and treat this. Usually it could be because of urinary tract infection because people are not drinking water properly. They like to drink soft drinks but not water. So 2 and a half to 3 litres of water is necessary to throw out infection. 90% of the reason is not because of drinking water properly and leading to urinary tract infection due to dehydration.
