I decided to book 4 nights in the city and explore to see for myself. I've got more videos from Casablanca - this was my very first video I filmed shortly after arriving there. I quickly realized like in most big cities, it's good to find more about the location before arriving. For example the lighthouse area in Casablanca is not a safe place. My taxi driver took me there only to see many young men running around there and a few of them are being arrested as we arrived there. I was hoping it would be a safe tourist place, but it wasn't. There was a big slum right next to the lighthouse and the taxi driver told me it's a dangerous area. So I left the area and went elsewhere. Casablanca, Morocco's largest city, is a bustling metropolis known for its blend of modernity and tradition. This coastal city features stunning architecture, vibrant markets, and a rich cultural heritage. Visitors can explore the historic Medina, marvel at the Hassan II Mosque—the largest mosque in Africa, and enjoy the dynamic nightlife. With its unique charm and diverse attractions, Casablanca offers a captivating experience for travelers and residents alike. The Old Medina in Casablanca is generally considered safe for tourists, especially during the daytime. However, like in many busy urban areas, it's important to stay vigilant. Here are some tips for staying safe: Watch Your Belongings: Pickpocketing can occur in crowded areas, so keep an eye on your personal items. Avoid Secluded Areas at Night: While the main parts of the Medina are busy and lively, some areas can be quieter and less safe after dark. Stay in Well-Lit Areas: Stick to well-lit and populated streets if you're out at night. Respect Local Customs: Dress modestly and be aware of local customs and traditions.
