This is the first Sony laser that I have worked on. This model was released back in 2015 as Sony first series of LCD laser units. The construction is top notch Sony engineering. The owner is going to use this for decorations for holidays and for outside movies. Normally I edit out some of me thinking about what to do and having to take it apart a few times but this time I left as much in as I could and still hopefully keep it watchable. This is a long video(2 hours). That is about half of the total time I spent repairing this. I found the phosphor wheel had detached from the hub and the filter in the laser source was also damaged. The combination of failures ruined one of the smaller lenses. Thankfully Crystal at Time Electronics came through (as she usually does). If you need parts for a Sony laser give Time a shout. [email protected] They are a great company. Service manual for a VPL-FHZ55 which is pretty close. I can't find the FHZ60 or 65 yet. https://file.io/o3DwTeZRGgoF While this model does not have a lamp, many Sony projectors do. If you need a Sony projector lamp, check here and use Code YT50 at checkout for 5% off. https://www.purelandsupply.com/sony-p...
