Florida’s very first Senator, David Levy Yulee, was also the First Jewish Senator in American History! David’s father came to Florida in 1821 to establish the “New Jerusalem” a Jewish Utopia. Florida’s northern state line is actually constituted by the 31st Parallel North the same latitude which runs precisely through Jerusalem itself and the spot where the 4 rivers of Eden are said to split! Both Tallahassee and Jerusalem are built on 7 hills, and the word Miami has the same meaning in Hebrew as it does the Native Floridian language. Now, despite the current political atmosphere, this presentation will not be a debate regarding so-called real or fake jews and is by no-means a hit-piece. In fact, I will mostly be reading the words of Jewish scholars themselves! With that out of the way, let us uncover one of Florida’s greatest mysteries.
